Free can mean open-source software, a limited trial or just a sample preview. Check whether the full result you need can actually be exported without paying.

An existing editor may enlarge frames without reconstructing detail. Useful when dimensions matter more than enhancement.
Local open-source AI
Some projects provide code or models you can run yourself. Check their license, hardware requirements and support for video motion.
Cloud trials
A trial may restrict duration, resolution, watermarks or downloads. Read the current terms of the specific service.

Check the limits before uploading
A free label alone does not tell you whether a service fits your footage.
- Can you download the full result, or only view a sample?
- Does the output contain a watermark or have a resolution cap?
- Does the workflow require a local GPU or a subscription?
- Are file size, duration and commercial use suitable for your project?
Cloud convenience still has processing costs
Cloud enhancement runs on the provider’s hardware, so you do not need to install a model or own a powerful GPU.
That does not make full processing free. Compare the price of your actual clip and the quality of its preview.
