Can you improve a 480p video for HD viewing?
A 480p recording may look soft on a modern display. AI enhancement can make some footage easier to watch, but cannot turn every source into authentic HD detail.
480p and 1080p describe frame size
A typical widescreen 480p file is 854 × 480; Full HD is 1920 × 1080. Enlarging the frame adds pixels, not verified information about the recorded scene.

Fewer pixels and often visible compression. Keep the best original rather than a copy shared through messaging apps.
A 1080p delivery target
An exact 1920 × 1080 file is a delivery requirement, not a guaranteed ClearFrame output. Check preview dimensions before using the result in an HD project.
When an upscale can be useful
A short older clip may fit a modern edit more comfortably after enhancement.
Judge the video at its intended viewing size. A paused, magnified frame can hide distracting artifacts during motion.

What the AI changes
ReCaVSR estimates detail using nearby frames. This can improve edges and textures, but inferred details may be inaccurate.
Output dimensions depend on the source and processing limits. The native upscaling model does not guarantee a fixed 4× export or an exact 1080p file.
